The Hamilton Tiger-Cats selected offensive lineman Jesse Gibbon with their first round (second overall) pick in the 2019 Canadian Football League Draft Thursday evening.
Gibbon, 22, played 32 regular season games at left tackle over four seasons (2015-18) at the University of Waterloo. The 6-5, 300-pound offensive lineman played for the West Team in the U SPORTS East-West Bowl and was named an OUA first-team all-star and a U SPORTS second-team all-Canadian in 2018. The Hamilton, Ontario native played his high school football at Sherwood Secondary School.
