(Calgary) - Today Calgary Stampeders' Head Coach and VP of Football Operations, Tom Higgins, announced the club has agreed to terms in resigning Offensive Lineman Taylor Robertson.

As per Club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.

"We are very excited to sign Taylor to a long term contract," stated General Manager Jim Barker. "He is entering his third season in the CFL and just starting to reach his full potential."

Entering his 3rd season with the Stampeders ... re-signed on June 29, 2005 ... has played in 15 regular season CFL games (Stampeders: 15 regular season) ... was drafted by the Calgary Stampeders with their fifth pick in the second round, eleventh overall in the 2003 CFL Canadian College Draft ... signed with the Philadelphia Eagles of the NFL on April 28, 2003.

2004

Played in 13 regular season games ... injured on August 7 vs Winnipeg missing the next game vs Saskatchewan ... returned to the line-up to early, re-aggravating the injury in the following game vs B.C. on August 21 ... missed the next four games but returned to his usual strong form for the final five games.

2003

Joined the Stampeders late in the season after being cut by the Philadelphia Eagles ... was activated on the 2nd last game of the year ... playing his first CFL game on October 19 vs the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

COLLEGE

Attended Central Florida ... Robertson possesses good feet and hands and has the ability to play every position on the line ... shows great athletic ability and range for an athlete his size ... he is UCF's first signee from Canada.

2002

Robertson had a very consistent and productive senior year, as he repeatedly graded out at over 80 percent during the season ...he continued to improve throughout the season and was arguably the Golden Knights best run blocker by season's end ... he graded out at 83 percent in consecutive games against Kent State and Buffalo, which included 20 knockdowns.

2001

Started all 11 games at left tackle and proved to be a key member of the line ... he graded out at 77 percent for the year and totalled 73 knockdowns ...his best game came on the road at Clemson in the opener when he racked up 12 knockdowns and graded out at 82 percent.

2000

Robertson moved from tackle, the position he moved to in the spring, back to guard in the fall ...he saw considerable action as a backup at guard ...played in all 11 games and registered a winning grade (80 percent or better) in five of the games ...best game came against Louisiana-Monroe when he graded out at 83 percent ...tallied 31 knockdowns on the year, including a season high nine against William & Mary.

1999

Enrolled at UCF in January of '99 and went through spring drills as a tight end before being moved to guard ...he saw action as a backup in every game ...played the last half of the season with a stress fracture in his lower right leg ...graded out at 70 percent or better in seven games... his best game came against Purdue when he graded out at 92 percent ... graded out at 91 percent against Eastern Illinois and 85 percent against Louisiana Tech.

Noteworthy

Graduated from LaSalle Secondary School where he excelled in football, basketball, and rugby ... named the top tight end out of 80 participants from around the nation at the Michigan Wolverine Technique School in 1998 ...in grade 10 he helped the team to a city championship with the game-winning touchdown in the finals ... in grade 11 he was MVP of the offensive line and captained his team to the city championship ...earned a spot on the city all-star team in 11th and 12th grades ...in rugby he was on three city championship teams and one provincial championship team ...was invited to play rugby for Team Ontario and Team Canada on the U-18 level.
