BOISE, Idaho - The Idaho Stampede opened the 2013-14 regular season with a 121-113 win over the Bakersfield Jam.
Pierre Jackson scored a game high 29 points while Richard Howell posted a double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Dee Bost added 17 points and nine assists.
Idaho (1-0) trailed Bakersfield (0-1) 57-56 at the half but used a 35-point third quarter to take the lead.
Eight players from Bakersfield scored in double figures, led by Mac Koshwal with 18 points. The team shot 54.7% from the field and 50.0% from beyond the arc.
The Stampede will host the Jam again Saturday November 23, at 7 pm in CenturyLink Arena.
