Stampede to Hold Local Tryouts

BOISE, Idaho, September 4, 2013 - The Idaho Stampede will host exclusive player tryouts in preparation for the team's 2013-14 campaign.
Under the supervision of the Portland Trail Blazers, the team's single NBA affiliate, the Stampede will host tryouts in Boise on Sept. 21, 2013 at the Ada County Boys and Girls Club and in Portland on Sept. 28, 2013 at Trail Blazers Practice Facility. Both tryouts will start with registration at 9 a.m. and end no later than 12 p.m.
These exclusive tryouts offer players the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of Stampede coaching staff as well as NBA personnel from the Trail Blazers. These tryouts have been proven to be a success in launching professional careers. Former NBA champion Ira Newble's eight year NBA career started at a Stampede tryout camp.
Space will be limited for each tryout, and potential participants are encouraged to take advantage of early discounted registration. Early registration costs $125 and will be available until Sept. 14 for the Boise tryout and Sept. 21 for the Portland tryout. Once it is within one week of the tryout date the fee increases to $150. Walk-up registration at the door will be available on the day of each tryout. Players can find registration forms at the Idaho Stampede front office, idahostampede.com and trailblazers.com.
