
Stampede sign Williams

Boise, ID (January 11, 2006) - The Idaho Stampede have announced the signing of 6-9 forward Eric Williams. Williams, who played 38 games for Idaho last season, was a member of the Yakama SunKings earlier this season. He was waived by Yakama on December 22. This fills the final roster spot on the Stampede's ten man roster.
In 14 games with the SunKings this season, Williams averaged 7.6 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. In college, he played two years at Syracuse and then transferred to Massachusetts where he averaged 5.7 points and 4.7 rebounds per game his senior year.
Professionally, Williams has played in the USBL for the Brooklyn Kings, Adirondack Wildcats and won a championship with the Dodge City Legend in 2005. He has also spent time in the NBDL with the Greenville Groove, Columbus Riverdragons and Huntsville Flight as well as overseas in Argentina, England, Venezuela and Chile.
