Stampede Host SkyForce at Idaho Center in Fight for the CBA Playoffs

Boise, ID (February 14, 2005) — The agenda for Wednesday night at the Idaho Center is packed with fun for Treasure Valley sports fans. First and foremost, the Idaho Stampede hosts the Sioux Falls SkyForce in a crucial home Western Conference showdown. The game is certain to carry a heightened intensity as the two teams are fighting to make the post-season CBA playoffs.

Doors open at 6 p.m., with tip-off at 7:10 p.m.

Free Sports Cards: The first 500 fans to arrive at the game will receive a free pack of sports cards and a basketball key ring, complements of CableOne.net. The cards feature NBA players, though some sets are all-time greats from the University of North Carolina. Any fans receiving a card featuring Stampede Head Coach Joe Wolf will win two free tickets to a future Stampede game.

BSU Football Autographs: Boise State University Football Coach Dan Hawkins and his players will sign autographs for fans from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the concourse at the Idaho Center. The Stampede will honor the 2004 Boise State football team during the game. The 2004 WAC Championship trophy will be displayed.

The Mayor vs. The Hawk: At halftime, Hawkins and Boise Mayor Dave Bieter will take the floor in a "shootout for charity." Hawkins and Bieter will be shooting 12 shots in :60 from three locations on the floor. Each made basket is worth $10.00 to the charity of the shooters choice. A special "Money Ball" will be worth $20. In addition, fans will be divided by section to cheer for "The Mayor" or ‘The Hawk," with a prize provided for fans based upon the winner of the shootout.

AAA Idaho "Rumble Photos": AAA Idaho and the Stampede mascot Rumble will be roaming the stands and looking for photo opportunities. Fans can pose with Rumble and then retrieve the photo at www.aaa.com.

Radio Broadcast: All games, home and away, are broadcast on KFXD 630 AM. Veteran play-by-play announcer Scott Johnson calls home games.

Live Video Streaming with Audio: The Idaho Stampede continues to be the only professional basketball team in the world, outside of the NBA, to broadcast all of its home games live. The Crucial Technology StampedeVision, a live audio and video streaming provided by Fiberpipe, is available for all home games. Fans can link to the live streaming at www.idahostampede.com. This internet-based broadcast is an innovation that the Idaho Stampede originated through its front office connections to a local leader in technology, Fiberpipe.net. Thousands of fans throughout the world have logged into the Fiberpipe servers to watch the games live and through the archives. All games are stored and accessible for viewing at any time.

Live Stats and Play-by-Play (text only) Internet: The CBA provides a textual webcast of scoring and statistics for all CBA games. It is updated regularly and includes a shot chart. It can be accessed at www.cbahoopsonline.com.

Tribute to 116th Cavalry Brigade Continues: US Bank and the Idaho Stampede Community Foundation recently raised $35,000 for the airmen's and solider's relief fund. The Stampede continues to honor those serving our country by keeping courtside seat number 116 empty all season long. The seat is on the baseline and is covered with camouflage material.

TitleOne Signing Party: A group of Stampede players and Stampede Spirit Dance team members will participate in the postgame TitleOne Signing Party immediately following the games. This autograph session is an opportunity for fans to connect with some of the players and dancers from the Stampede.

Looking Ahead: Away from home for the stretch run, the Stampede plays six in a row on the road, including three pivotal Western Conference games that could make or break the season. After flying into Boise from Detroit on Tuesday (Feb. 15) to play the Wednesday (Feb. 16) game, the Stampede flies to Chicago early Thursday (Feb. 17) morning to begin the 6-games in 9-days road trip. Single weekday games at home remain on March 2 and March 8.
