Jackson wins Player of the Week

Birch Run, MI (February 14, 2005) – The Continental Basketball Association announced today that Great Lakes Storm guard Jermaine Jackson was named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week for the week of February 6-12.

Jackson earned his third player of the week award in five weeks after posting 29.3 points and 8.3 assists per game as the Storm finished the week with a 2-1 record. He also added 4.7 rebounds per contest while shooting 63.0 percent (30 of 48) from the floor, 81.0 percent (25 of 31) from the free-throw line, and 38.0 percent (3 of 8) from behind the three-point line. In a 118-105 (5.5-1.5) victory over the Rockford Lightning on February 7, Jackson posted 26 points, seven assists, five rebounds, two assists and two blocked shots. Later in the week he notched 38 points and 11 assists, including the game winning shot with 0.8 seconds left, as the Storm defeated the Idaho Stampede 113-111 (5-2) on February 11. Jackson joins Sam Clancy of the Idaho Stampede as three-time winners this season.
