BOISE, Idaho, March 1, 2012 - Mikki Moore had 20 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks and the Stampede shot 50.6 percent from the floor as they beat the Los Angeles D-Fenders 101-93. David Bailey came through with 14 points and eight assists.
Idaho (15-21) shot 64.1 percent from the field in the first half, and their defense held L.A. to just 1-of-7 from behind the three-point line as they led 65-47 at the half. Four players already had hit double-figures by the midway point of the game. The Stampede scored 37 points in the second quarter alone, with Paul Carter making all five of his attempts. The lanky left-hander finished the night with 15 points, six rebounds and two blocks.
Seth Tarver had 13 points, eight rebounds and three steals, while subs Tony Bobbitt (14 points, four rebounds, three steals) and Chris Davis (10 points, 4-5 FG) aided in the win.
Los Angeles (27-11) was led by Courtney Fortson, who played 47:06 minutes and scored 34 points (12-31 FG). Orien Green added 15 points, eight assists, seven rebounds and four steals.
Idaho will play next on Sunday, March 4 at Dakota at 2 p.m. (MST).
