Autism Awareness Night with the Texas Legends

Four U Academy Inc. would like to invite the community to the "Wear Blue" for Autism Awareness Night game Friday April 6th (good Friday) with the Texas Legends D-League Professional Basketball Team. The game will kick off Autism Awareness Month for April.

Brent Carmichael, founder of 4U Academy, former professional basketball player (CBA), and father of a son with Autism is the organizer of the event. Mr. Carmichael will also direct the 1st Annual Sports Clinic for Special Athletes earlier in the day at the MAC Recreation Center in Lewisville.

The clinic will be available to special needs males and females ages 6 to 60. The event will be divided into two different sessions 9am to 12pm (ages 6 to 17) and 1pm to 4pm (18 +). Football, basketball, soccer, volleyball, softball, golf, hockey, track, baseball and cheerleading will be represented in10 different stations.

Volunteer student athletes from local high school and colleges will be available to interact and assist each of the special athletes has they move to each station.

Four U Academy is a non-profit organization that seeks to engage and positively connect individuals and families with information and community resources in four areas; Social Awareness, Sports Instruction, Fundraising and Autism Resources.

Mr. Carmichael, his son and a special athlete will be "Legends of the Night" at the April 6th game versus the LA Defenders.
