D-Fenders Drop Stampede For 10th Straight Win

BOISE, ID - Despite suiting up only eight players the Los Angeles D-Fenders registered their top road defensive performance of the season and extended their win streak to 10-straight games after defeating the Idaho Stampede 94-72 on Wednesday night. The D-Fenders (27-10) nearly bested their defensive effort against Bakersfield when they limited the Jam to just 68 points at home on December 17th

After attaining just a two-point lead at the end of the first quarter, Los Angeles, which has been affected by injuries, held Idaho to a combined 25 points in the second and third quarters, extended their lead to as many as 31 points in the fourth quarter and limited the Stampede to a 37.5 field goal percentage while forcing 22 turnovers in the win.

Elijah Millsap finished with a game-high 27 points (9-15 FG), four rebounds, four assists and three steals, Courtney Fortson tallied 21 points, four rebounds, seven assists and three steals, and Orien Green totaled 17 points and four rebounds for the D-Fenders. Additionally, Malcolm Thomas scored eight points and pulled down 10 rebounds at CenturyLink Arena.

The Stampede (14-21) only saw two players post double-digit scoring efforts, paced by Chris Davis (15 points, 5 rebounds) and Jordan Brady (13 points), both of whom played off the bench.
