Stampede Fall to Bighorns

BOISE, Idaho - The Idaho Stampede fell to the Reno Bighorns, 121-97, on Friday night at CenturyLink Arena.

The Stampede opened the game with a 5-0 run, but the Bighorns shot 63.3 percent from three-point range to build a 19-point lead at the half. Reno shot 60.7 percent from beyond the arc for the game, going 17-for-28 from the three-point line.

Six Stampede players finished in double figures. Jack Cooley led the Stampede with a team-high 15 points and nine rebounds. Jeff Ayres recorded his fourth double-double of the season with 14 points and 13 boards. Treveon Graham added 11 points, while Brandon Fields (11) and Travis Releford (11) combined for 22 points.

Erick Green led the Bighorns with a game-high 27 points and eight rebounds. Sundiata Gaines also scored in double figures for Reno, recording all 21 of his points in the first half. Ricky Ledo registered 21 points but was ejected early in the fourth quarter after receiving two technical fouls.

The Stampede look to even the series against the Bighorns tomorrow, Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. MT.
