
Stampede Acquire Carlos Wheeler

BOISE, Idaho, November 30, 2010 - The Idaho Stampede announced today the acquisition of forward Carlos Wheeler (6-7, 220, Campbellsville (Ky.)) from the Utah Flash.
Wheeler has played two seasons in the NBA Development League, playing 93 games (34 starts) with Utah from 2008-10, averaging 10.4 points, and 6.3 rebounds in 25.4 minutes.
Before his two seasons in the D-League, Wheeler played in Uruguay, Argentina, the Dominican Republic, in the ABA, the WBA, in Sweden, the USBL, in Israel, in the Philippines and in Egypt. Wheeler played his college ball at Antelope Valley College, Pensacola Junior College and Campbellsville, being named an NAIA honorable mention All-America in 2002 with Campbellsville.
Born May 16, 1978, Wheeler hails from Marion Abramson High School in New Orleans.
The Stampede traded Lance Allred to the Flash in exchange for Wheeler. Before the trade, the Stampede waived J.T. Tiller.
