
St. John's Maple Leafs present Cheque to Canadian Cancer Society

Earlier this evening during a pre-game celebration the St. John's Maple Leafs and the St. John's Maple Leafs Booster Club presented a cheque in the amount of $5,000 to the Canadian Cancer Society as part of the team's contribution to the Leafs Fight Cancer awareness weekend.
Funds raised through Leafs Fights Cancer will help the Newfoundland & Labrador chapter of the Canadian Cancer Society fund the most promising research projects, provide information services and support programs in communities throughout the province and advocate for healthy public policies that prevent cancer and help those living with it.
The Maple Leafs will play their final regular season game at Mile One Stadium tomorrow night when they take on the Toronto Roadrunners. Game time is 7:35PM (NT) and will be broadcast LIVE on Rogers Television, Radio NL (930AM) and www.sjmapleleafs.ca.
