Sound Tigers Sign Bayrack To PTO

BRIDGEPORT, CT – The American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, have announced the signing of Left Wing Mike Bayrack to a professional tryout contract. Bayrack comes to Bridgeport from the ECHL's Greensboro Generals and joins teammate Randy Perry who signed with the Sound Tigers yesterday.

Bayrack was better than a point-per-game player for Greensboro this season with 36 goals, 34 assists, 70 points and 82 penalty minutes in 68 games. The 5'11'' 185-pound native of Edmonton, Alberta also notched one assist in one AHL game with the Norfolk Admirals this season.

The Sound Tigers will host the Philadelphia Phantoms in a potential showdown for the East Division Championship tomorrow at 7:05 p.m. They will visit the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a possible East Division Semifinal preview Sunday at 5:05 p.m. to finish the 2003-04 regular season.

If the Sound Tigers finish the regular season in first place in the East Division, they will host games one and two of the East Division Semifinals on Wednesday, April 21st and Friday, April 23rd. If the Sound Tigers finish the regular season in second place in the East Division, they will host games one and two of the East Division Semifinals next Thursday, April 15th and Saturday, April 17th.
