PLAYOFF HUNT: The Rampage are currently four points out from sharing the fifth and final West Division playoff spot with Cincinnati. The format for the 2004 AHL Calder Cup Playoffs allows the top five teams in each division to enter post-season play, with the fourth and fifth seeds play a two-out-of-three games qualifying round.

The Rampage can still make the playoffs if the following happens:
A win at Grand Rapids tonight and a win by Houston in Cincinnati tonight A tie, or overtime loss tonight and a tie or overtime loss by Cincinnati tonight
The Rampage will be mathematically eliminated if the following happens:
A win by Cincinnati and a tie, loss or overtime loss by the Rampage tonight

GAME NOTES: Tonight's intra-divisional contest against the Grand Rapids Griffins is the final road game of the regular season for San Antonio, while marking the conclusion of a seven-game road trip and the beginning of a three-game, three-night session...The Rampage (29-40-8-0; 66 pts) are 6th in the West Division and trail Cincinnati, who hold the fifth and final playoff spot, by four points in the standings with 3 games remaining in the regular season...Grand Rapids is 2nd in the division with a 43-26-8-0 record (94 pts.)...The Rampage are 13-23-3-0 on the road this season and 3-2-0-0 in their last five games on the road...Following tonight's game, the Rampage will return to the SBC Center for their final two regular season home games this weekend against Utah (Saturday) and the Griffins (Sunday).
AGAINST GRAND RAPIDS: Tonight's match-up is the first of a home-and home series with the Griffins, while marking the ninth meeting (of 10) of the regular season between the two clubs...San Antonio is winless (0-2-0-0) against the Griffins in their last two meetings at Van Andel Arena, with their last match ending in a 2-1 loss at the SBC Center on Mar. 6...The Rampage, who's last win in Grand Rapids was Nov. 15, 2003 (2-0 win), are 2-5-1-0 overall this season and 5-10-1-0 since the Rampage joined the AHL last season...The Rampage are 20-30-7-0 against West Division teams this season, while Grand Rapids is 30-20-3-0 against West Division opponents.
