Andrew Penner Reassigned to Syracuse

Syracuse, NY (April 9, 2004) – The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have reassigned goaltender Andrew Penner to Syracuse.

Penner, 21, appeared in 50 games with Dayton (ECHL) this season, posting a 15-27-2 record, a 3.80 goals against average and .885 save percentage. Penner was reassigned to Syracuse earlier in the season but did not appear in any games. A native of Scarborough, Ontario, Penner was signed as a free agent by Columbus on September 17, 2001.

The Crunch travels to Rochester today for a 7:35 p.m. game.
