Spurs Claim Win Over Kings In Front Of 4,682 Fans In Laredo

LAREDO, TX - In front of 4,682 fans in their first of two games in Laredo, the Austin Spurs (7-7) defeated the Stockton Kings (9-5) by a final score of 127-111 on Friday night at the Sames Auto Arena.
Two-Way guard David Duke Jr. led the way for Austin with 24 points and 6 assists. RaiQuan Gray notched a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds to go along with 3 steals. Two-Way forward Mamadi Diakite finished with 18 points and 9 rebounds while Sir'Jabari Rice chipped in 17 points.
The Spurs grabbed an early lead and outscored the Kings 32-27 in the first period. Austin kept the upper hand in the second quarter after shooting 68.4% from the field and 66.7% from three to claim a 11-point lead at the break, 64-53. Deonate Burton led all scorers at the end of the first half for Stockton with 13 while Gray finished with 12 points. The Spurs would lead by as much as 26 points in the third quarter, ending at 102-81. Though Stockton would outscore Austin in the final quarter, 30-25, the Spurs would claim the victory.
Skal Labissiere recorded a double-double for the Kings with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Burton and Stanley Johnson both finished with 17 points for Stockton.
