Springfield Cardinals Announce 2010 Promo Schedule

Springfield, MO - On the day prior to Individual Game Tickets going on Sale, the Springfield Cardinals are excited to unveil their best promotional schedule ever at Hammons Field for the 2010 season.

Returning to the lineup are fan-favorites like AM Pyrotechnics Friday Night Fireworks and Hiland Dairy Ice Cream Sundays. 13 different nights will feature a spectacular Fireworks display including Opening day, closing day, an Independence Day Extravaganza featuring the Springfield Symphony Orchestra conducted by Ron Spigelman on June 27th along with every Friday night! There are 10 Sunday home games in 2010, which means that families will enjoy 10 Hiland Dairy Ice Cream Sundays, which are always followed by Kids Run the Bases.

Recently elected Hall of Fame Cardinals' Manager Whitey Herzog will be at Hammons Field on Opening Night, April 15th, as Great Southern presents the first of two consecutive nights giving away 2010 Magnet Schedules.

Springfield will have four bobblehead nights featuring Stan "The Man" Musial presented by Great Southern. There will be a total of 8,000 bobbleheads, 2,000 given away per night, so that each quarter season ticket holder will have a chance to receive this coveted collectable. Musial's image standing at the plate from the view point of the Cardinals' dugout is depicted on the Cardinals "Season Six Logo".

Also new in 2010 will be Johnsonville's "Buck a Brat" nights. The Cardinals will offer Johnsonville Bratwursts for only $1 at concession stands. And, Saturday, May 1st will be Faith Family Day featuring former Cardinals' All-Star pitcher and National Christian recording artist Kent Bottenfield playing a pre-game concert.

The Cardinals are very excited about another new initiative at Hammons Field as the team will be wearing six different themed jerseys throughout the season. Fans will have the opportunity to bid on that night's game worn jerseys with the proceeds going to a different charity each night. Haiti Relief Night kicks it off on April 17th with Haitian Themed Cardinals Jerseys benefitting Convoy of Hope, Camo Cardinals Jerseys for Armed Forces Appreciation Night will benefit the American Cancer Society on May 29th and Patriotic Jerseys for "Independence Weekend" will benefit the Children's Miracle Network June 26th. The other three themed nights are Pink Cardinals Jerseys for the Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks July 11th, the Cardinals/Royals I-70 Throwback Jersey Night on July 31st and rounding out the schedule will be 1970's Night featuring tie-dyed Cardinals Jerseys. Fans are encouraged to dress in their best retro gear on August 14th to "get down" with the 1970's theme.

Other giveaways in the promotional lineup include: CoxHealth Cardinals Fleece "Sluggies" (a blanket with sleeves!), Coca-Cola Floppy Caps, Bud Light Winter Caps, Pink Replica Jerseys presented by Hiland Dairy, St John's Athletic T-Shirts, Coca-Cola Kids T-Shirts, Bar-S Foods and Price Cutter T-Shirts, Rick's Automotive Pink Cardinals Hats, 2,500 Player Autographed Pictures presented by Lawerence Photo, Empire Bank Cardinals Caps, Drury University Night, Henry's Towing Duffle bags, Lawerence Photo Camera/Photo Day, Wild Animal Safari Animal Print Drawstring Back-Packs, Missouri Lottery Scratchers, Chick-Fil-A Cardinals Pennants and five Sonic coupon giveaway nights.
