Corpus Christi Hooks News Release
CORPUS CHRISTI - Corky Gallegos' Moody Trojans and the Steve Chapman-coached Calallen Wildcats are on a Whataburger Field collision course once again.
This time it's a regular-season non-district game, but don't be fooled. Such contests have drawn up to 3,300 fans.
Moody-Calallen is always special and Saturday afternoon's 3 o'clock tilt will be no different. The Trojans are 14-3 overall, Calallen 13-3. These two have combined for five state championships since 2000 and drawn over 41,000 for two Whataburger Field three-game playoff series -- 2007 second-round action and the 2009 Region IV 4A finals.
Tickets go on sale Thursday morning at 9 at the Whataburger Field Box Office. Adult tickets are $5; youth/student tickets $3. Children 3-&-under are admitted free.
