
Sports Win Second Straight Over Coastal Bend

Jack Joffrion hit a three-run home run in the fourth inning to ignite the Shreveport Sports to an 8-6 win over Coastal Bend Saturday at Fair Grounds Field. It was the second straight win for the Sports over the Aviators. Joffrion, after getting four hits on Friday had two hits and drove in four runs for the Sports Saturday. Colby Miller pitched five innings to get the win, but Grant Wilson, in relief, pitched three and two thirds inning to record his first save of the year. Besides Joffrion, J.P. Schmidt and Juan Ventura also had two hits each for the Sports. Shreveport and Coastal Bend will close out the three-game series Sunday at 2:05 pm with the broadcast on AM 1130, KWKH.
