
Sports split doubleheader with Grand Prairie

Shreveport-Bossier Captains News Release
The Shreveport Sports split a doubleheader Friday with Grand Prairie winning the second game 3-2 after losing the opener 3-2. Chad Gambill led off the sixth inning with his third home run of the season to give the Sports the victory. Matt Pilgreen picked up the win in relief while Trey Poland recorded his third save of the season.
In the first game Grand Prairie took the first game 3-2 as Shreveport starter Justin Phillips went the distance and took the loss. The third game of this series will be played Saturday at Fair Grounds Field. Game time 7:05.
