Shreveport-Bossier Captains News Release


Ft. Worth scored two runs in the first inning and never trailed as they defeated the Shreveport Sports 7-2 Tuesday at Fair Grounds Field. It was the final game of the season between the two teams with Ft. Worth winning 12 of the 15 games. For the third straight night, Ft. Worth had double digits in the hit column with ten against the Sports Tuesday. The Cats had 40 hits in the three game series. They were led by Cameron Blair, Ed Montague and John Allen with three hits each totaling nine of the Cats 10 hits. The Sports were led by Vince Blue and Chris Smith, both with three hits, including the first home run of the season by Blue. The Sports will now start a seven game road trip with the first game at Pensacola Wednesday. Game time will be 6:35 with the broadcast on AM 1130, KWKH. The Sports will return to Fair Grounds Field on August 14th.
