Sporting Kansas City (2-6-2, 8 points) will embark on the club's busiest stretch of the season with a road trip to face reigning MLS Cup champion New York City FC (4-3-1, 13 points) at 6 p.m. CT on Saturday at Citi Field. The cross-conference clash will be the club's first of potentially seven matches in a span of 22 days and kicks off a cross-country trek featuring matches in New York (May 7), Kansas City (May 10) and Portland (May 14) in the week ahead.
Saturday's showdown, the first meeting between Sporting KC and NYCFC since July 2019, will be locally televised on 38 The Spot with three hours of coverage beginning at 5:30 p.m. CT. The broadcast will also stream live on SportingKC.com and in the Sporting KC app for viewers in Kansas and Missouri (excluding St. Louis area per MLS policy), as well as ESPN+ for out-of-market subscribers.
In addition, Sporting KC pub partners across the Midwest will be showing the match including enhanced watch parties at No Other Pub in the KC Power & Light District and Kelly's Westport Inn. L ocal radio broadcasts will also air on Sports Radio 810 WHB and La Grande 1340 AM.
A new edition of The Sporting KC Show will air on Sports Radio 810 WHB from 7-8 p.m. CT on Tuesday with hosts Nate Bukaty, Jacob Peterson and Aly Trost. The Sporting KC Show Podcast is available on Spotify, iTunes and SportingKC.com , giving supporters a weekly destination to catch up on club storylines, player achievements, guest interviews and more.

Major League Soccer's Primary Transfer Window, during which an MLS team may request the international transfer certificate of a player under contract in another country, will close on Wednesday. The Secondary Transfer Window is set to take place from July 7 to August 4. All in-season trades between MLS clubs must take place within these transfer windows.
On Friday, tickets will go on sale for the U.S. Men's National Team match against Uruguay on Sunday, June 5 at Children's Mercy Park. Sporting Kansas City Season Ticket Members can take advantage of a pre-sale opportunity beginning at 10 a.m. CT on Wednesday and all Visa cardholders are eligible to purchase tickets during a pre-sale window on Thursday. The Sporting Kansas City Academy U-14's, U-15's, U-17's and U-19's will continue their MLS NEXT campaigns this weekend. The three youngest teams will play at Houston Dynamo FC on Saturday, while the U-19's will also travel to Texas to face RGV Toros FC at 1 p.m. CT on Saturday. Sporting KC II will continue the club's inaugural season in MLS NEXT Pro at 1 p.m. CT on Sunday against the Real Monarchs at Rock Chalk Park in Lawrence, Kan.
