
Luciano Acosta Named to the MLS Team of the Week

FC Cincinnati captain Luciano Acosta has been named to the MLS Team of the Week for his performance in Week 9 against Toronto FC. Acosta was integral to the Orange and Blue's victory on the road, setting up the set piece which led to Ian Murphy's opening goal and then scoring one of his own, which ended up being the winner.
Acosta leads the league in key passes with 34 after adding three more this weekend. The Argentine has three goals through nine games this season, and his two assists are tied for the FC Cincinnati lead.
The honor is Acosta's first of 2022, and his sixth since joining FC Cincinnati last season. It is the 39th all-time Team of the Week player honor in club history, and the sixth this season. It is the third week in a row that an FC Cincinnati player has been honored in the Team of the Week:
