Brady Vail had two goals, including the game winner, as the Windsor Spitfires beat the Belleville Bulls 4-2 in front of 4,901 at the WFCU Centre Thursday.
Windsor (4-3-0-0) fell behind two goals early in the first period, on goals by Brendan Gaunce and Garrett Hooey. Jordan DeKort came in to replace Dalen Kuchmey and stopped all 19 shots he faced.
Kerby Rychel cut Belleville's lead to a single goal at 6:48 of the first period.
A little more than two minutes later, Vail scored his first of the game to knot things up at two. His second of the game came at 7:39 of the second; a period which Windsor dominated, outshooting Belleville 22-3.
Nick Ebert gave Windsor some breathing room with a slapshot that beat Belleville goalie Charlie Graham under three minutes into the third period.
Windsor is back in action Friday night on the road against the Sarnia Sting.
