
Spitfires Select Loktinonov and Panik in CHL Import Draft

(Windsor) The Windsor Spitfires announced that the team has selected Andrei Loktionov with the seventh overall pick in today's CHL Import Draft. Loktionov, a 5'11" 187 lb centre played with Yaroslavl 2 in Russia this past season and was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the fifth round, 123rd overall this past weekend at the NHL Entry Draft in Ottawa.
Three picks later the Spitfires selected Richard Panik, a 6'2" 185 lb left-winger who played for Trinec HC Zelenzarny Jr. in the Czech Republic. Panik is eligible for the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
