WINDSOR, ON.

The Spitfires were on the wrong side of another overtime defeat, this time falling to the Spirit just 22 seconds into overtime.

The first period saw no scoring but the Spitfires dominated the shot clock, outshooting the Spirit 14-4. Lennox was solid all night long and earned himself first star honours.

In the second period, the Spirit would open the scoring just 1:36 into the frame. Just over 12 minutes later the Spitfires would find the equalizer. Sobolev walked down the left side and fed Abraham back door who scored his 3rd on the season. Just three minutes later the Spitfires would find the go ahead goal. DeAngelis made a stretch to Abraham at the Spirit blue line, he stepped in over the line and found a speeding Spellacy who took the puck and backhanded it off the post and in for his first career OHL goal. The Spitfires lead only lasted 44 seconds before the Spirit would tie it at 2.

The third period was also scoreless and this game was headed to overtime.

In the overtime period, the Spirit would score on a breakaway and take the win 3-2.

The Spitfires are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Flint for a 7:00pm puck drop. The Spitfires then return to the WFCU Centre on Sunday for a 4:05pm matchup vs the Niagara IceDogs.
