
Spitfires Edged by Bulldogs 3-1

The Hamilton Bulldogs rolled into Windsor for a matchup with the Spitfires Thursday evening. The first game between these two teams took place on September 27th just the third game of the season, where the Spitfires won 2-1. This was the second and final meeting between the two teams.
In the first period, the Bulldogs struck first nine minutes into the game, but the lead didn't last long. Just one minute later, Zito found himself in front of the net and whacked it in to tie the game. Shots were 12-5 in favour of the Bulldogs after the first 20 minutes.
In the second period, the Bulldogs struck first just over three minutes into the period making it 2-1. After 40 minutes of play, the shots were 20-11 in favour of the Bulldogs.
In the third frame, the Spitfires came out firing with 13 shots but came up short. Hamilton added an empty netter to seal the win and take the game 3-1.
The Spitfires' next game is Friday, February 7th in Sarnia puck drop is scheduled for 7:05 pm and then join us on Saturday for our superhero night as we faceoff against Sarnia in the 2nd game of a home and home stand. Puck drop is at 7:05 pm.
