Spirit Welcome Hamilton Bulldogs on Student Rush Night

SAGINAW, MI - On Wednesday night, the Saginaw Spirit (15-17-2-1 33 points, 4th West Division) host the Hamilton Bulldogs (14-17-3-0 31 points, 4th East Division) for the very first time at The Dow Event Center. Wednesday is Student Rush Night with $5 tickets with Student ID's and $2 Jets Pizza Slices and 12 oz. beer at the Bud Light Blue Line Club beginning at 5:30. The puck drops at 7:05.

The Spirit are now 7-2-1-0 in their last ten games after disposing of the Soo Greyhounds Monday night by a score of 5-1. Now the Spirit find themselves within two points of the third-placed Greyhounds. With Sault Ste. Marie idle tonight, the Spirit could tie the Hounds for third place in the West Division with a win tonight versus Hamilton.

This is the first matchup between the Spirit and the Hamilton Bulldogs, who were previously the Belleville Bulls from 1981-2015. The Spirit have won five of the last eight meetings against the Bulls, but Belleville swept the two-game season series in 2014-15.

The Bulldogs have picked it up as of late, winning their last three in a row and six of their last ten games. Hamilton is coming off of a season series sweep of the Flint Firebirds, winning Tuesday night 2-1 in overtime at The Dort Federal Event Center.

Student Rush Night:

Tonight is another Student Rush Night at The Dow Event Center! $2 Jets Pizza Slices and $2 12 oz. Beers will be for sale at the Bud Light Blue Line Club beginning at 5:30 pm.
