Washington Spirit News Release
BOYDS, Md. (May 27, 2015) - The Washington Spirit announced today that the club has waived forward Caroline Miller.
After a stellar college career at the University of Virginia, Williams was selected 10th overall by the Washington Spirit in the 2013 inaugural NWSL college draft. She went on to appear in seven matches during the 2013 NWSL season, logging 193 minutes, before suffering a season ending ankle injury that caused her to miss the 2014 NWSL season as well. Miller made brief appearances in two games so far this season.
"I want to thank Caroline for everything she has given to the club over the last 3 seasons," said Spirit head coach and general manager Mark Parsons. "Caroline has worked harder than anyone to get back and play. She is eager to get minutes and this is something we can't guarantee at this point. We wish Caroline all the best in the future and her next opportunity."
