
Spirit Honor Careers of Duhart, Wong, Knights' Baber on Overager Night Saturday

Saginaw, Mich. - The Saginaw Spirit (23-43-1-0) battle the London Knights (38-21-5-2) Saturday night at The Dow Event Center for overager night honoring the junior careers of Spirit forwards Dalton Duhart and Nick Wong, as well as former Spirit captain and current London Knight Camaryn Baber during a pregame ceremony. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
Head-to-Head
Tonight is the final meeting of five between the Spirit and the Knights and also the final game of the 2021-22 regular season for the Spirit. These two teams met 10 days ago with Saginaw earning the 6-3 win at The Dow Event Center. Overage forward Nick Wong led the way for Saginaw with two goals and an assist in the Spirit's lone victory of the season over London. In the previous four games, the Knights have been led by their top line of Luke Evangelista (5G-7A), Antonio Stranges (5G-7A), and Sean McGurn (2G-4A). combining for 30 points this season against Saginaw.
Last Time Out
Saginaw: A stingy first period for Sarnia goaltender Ben Gaudreau proved to the Saginaw's undoing Friday night, in a 7-1 loss to the Sting. Saginaw badly outshot and outplayed the Sting in the opening frame, but it was Gaudreau shutting the door and allowing the Sting to keep a 1-0 lead despite being outshot 13-5. The Sting broke it open in the second period with four goals and eventually added two more in the third. Brayden Hislop provided the offense for the Spirit in the second period with his fourth goal of the season in the defeat.
London: The Knights snapped their six-game losing streak with a 4-3 win over the Kitchener Rangers, in a first-round playoff preview, Wednesday night. Cody Morgan recorded his third straight multi-goal game, with two goals and an assist. Luke Evangelista scored his league leading 55th goal of the season while Antonio Stranges scored his 31st to propel the Knights over the Rangers.
