
Spinners to Present Frates Bobble Ice Bucket Tomorrow

LOWELL, MASS. - The Lowell Spinners, Class-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, have partnered with Pete Frates and the Pete Frates #3 Fund on a special ALS Awareness Night at LeLacheur Park set for Sunday, July 26. The first 1,000 fans that evening will receive a special "Ice Bucket Bobble" featuring Frates and Tuesday, July 21 the Spinners will make a special presentation to Pete and his family of the unique doll.
"We are so very excited to partner with Pete and his family on this awareness night and fundraising initiative," said Spinners Vice President Jon Goode. "There is no one more deserving of this honor than Pete and his entire family."
The team will travel to the Frates family home in Beverly for a special presentation to Pete of the bobble in his honor. The family invites media members to attend the event, though we do ask that you RSVP to Jon Goode at jgoode@lowellspinners.com or by phone at (978) 805-5106 to confirm.
"With no guarantee that Pete will be able to join us Sunday, July 26 when the first 1,000 fans will receive the bobble ice bucket, we wanted to be sure Pete received this in a special way," said Goode.
The presentation will take place at the Frates family home in Beverly and those who cannot attend the game to receive a figure July 26 can still receive a bobble by visiting www.lowellspinners.com and making a $20 donation to purchase an item.
