Lowell Spinners News Release

LOWELL, MASS. - The Lowell Spinners announced Monday night's game against the Connecticut Tigers has been postponed due to rain. The game will be made up as part of a single-admission double header Tuesday, July 2 with first pitch at 6:05 p.m.

In addition, the Jenny Dell Bobble Head Giveaway scheduled for tonight has been moved to Monday, August 26.

"With the rain that has already fallen combined with the forecast for the remainder of the evening, we felt it wouldn't be fair to the team or the fans to go forward with tonight's game," said Spinners President and General Manager Tim Bawmann. "We want every night to be a night to remember at LeLacheur Park and hope this allows for this to be the case."

The two teams will now play a single-admission double header beginning at 6:05 p.m. with gates opening at 5 p.m. Military Appreciation Night and Band of Brothers Bobble Head Night will go on as scheduled, with the first 1,000 fans receiving a Band of Brothers Bobble Head and a special VIP Meet and Greet event with Easy Company Veteran Phil Perugini to be held in the Gator Pit.

Any fan holding a ticket for the Spinners July 1 game must exchange that ticket in person for a ticket of equal or lesser value to any remaining 2013 home game, based on availability. If a fan receives a ticket of lesser value, the fan will receive the difference back in Spinners Dollars. Under no circumstances will tickets be exchanged straight-up for Spinners Dollars.

For example: If the fan had a $10 ticket and exchanged it for a $6 seat then the fan will receive an additional $4 back in Spinners Dollars. Spinners Dollars can be used at concession and merchandise stands and will expire on December 31 of this year.
