
Cutters Lose to Spikes 7-5

Williamsport Crosscutters News Release
The Williamsport Crosscutters had a 5-3 lead heading to the seventh, but Chris Burgess gave up three runs in the eighth and the Spikes held on to a 7-5 win Monday night.
The Cutters took the lead in the fourth inning on a throwing error from Spikes pitcher Josh Lucas and Corey Bass came into score.
Mason Katz put the Spikes within a run in the seventh with an RBI single to left field.
State College took the lead for good in the eighth. Cesar Valera hit a two-run double to right field to take the lead and Bruce Caldwell hit an RBI double to straightaway centerfield.
The Crosscutters drop to 7-6 and travel to State College Tuesday for the fifth game of the Sawbuck Series. First pitch is at 7:05 P.M.
