
Spikes' Bark in the Park Night Set For Tuesday

STATE COLLEGE, PA - The State College Spikes are opening the doggy doors and the ballpark gates to four-legged friends on Tuesday, July 2 for the latest installment of the team's popular Bark in the Park Night, presented by Metzger Animal Hospital, NEWSRADIO 103 WRSC and the Centre Daily Times.
Fans are invited to bring their dogs to the Spikes' 7:05 p.m. game against the Williamsport Crosscutters (Philadelphia Phillies) and enjoy several dog-related promotions and activities throughout the evening, including dog-themed in-game entertainment and music before and during the game.
Plus, the first 500 dog owners will receive a souvenir Spikes T-shirt, presented by Metzger Animal Hospital, as part of T-Shirt Tuesday at the ballpark. Fans can also enjoy $2.50 16-oz. Yuengling and Yuengling Light drafts from 6-7 p.m. during the Yuengling Happy Hour.
Dog owners are reminded of the following Bark in the Park Night policies:
- Dogs are not required to have their own ticket
- Only one dog allowed per person - please recruit a friend to bring multiple dogs
- Dogs must be on a leash and must be under the control of their owners at all times
- Any fan bringing a dog to the game should first visit the dog check-in table outside "Gate G" on the Main Ticket Plaza
- At the dog check-in table, owners will be asked to provide their dog's vaccination records and sign a liability waiver
- Dogs are not permitted in the general seating bowl (Diamond Club, Field Box or Bullpen Box sections) or the Left-Field Picnic Pavilion, but are allowed to walk with their owners on the main concourse or accompany their owners sitting at one of the many picnic tables on the main concourse. Dogs are also permitted to sit with their owners in the Outfield Bleacher seating section.

Bark in the Park Night begins a stretch of seven home games in eight days for the Spikes. After facing the Crosscutters at Historic Bowman Field on July 3, the Spikes will return to Medlar Field at Lubrano Park for their first July 4 home game in three years when they take on the Batavia Muckdogs (Miami Marlins) at 1:00 p.m. The Fourth of July fun will include a Spikes Patriotic Hat Giveaway, presented by Vision Creative Solutions, to the first 1,000 fans age 12 and under to begin the Mini-Majors Head to Toe Giveaway Series.
The Spikes will also wear special patriotic hats on the field, which will be up for bids in a Hat-off-the-Head Auction throughout the game. All auction winners will receive their hats, autographed by the Spikes, immediately after the game, with proceeds benefiting local military hero Sgt. Adam Hartswick. The park will also close briefly after the game, and then reopen to allow fans to watch the spectacular Central PA 4th Fest FIREWORKS.
Other highlights of the homestand include the first 4 for $44 Friday of the season, presented by T.G.I. Friday's and MAJIC 99, on July 5 for the Spikes' 7:05 p.m. game against Batavia, a Star Wars Character Appearance at the 7:05 p.m. game on Saturday, July 6 against Batavia, and FIREWORKS presented by PA Lottery and ESPN Radio 1450 on Sunday, July 7 after the Spikes' 6:05 p.m. game against the Mahoning Valley Scrappers (Cleveland Indians).
