Spend Father's Day Weekend with the Captains

The Captains will begin the final three-game home stand of the first half of the season on Friday, June 14, as the Great Lakes Loons (Dodgers) make their first visit Classic Park this season.

Friday is a 7 PM start and the game will be followed by Fireworks Friday Night,presented by Universal Windows Direct.

It is also the Captains first Faith Night of the season presented by 95.5 The Fish and musician Joey Skoch will be performing prior to the game in the Castaway's bar area.

The Captains will help kickoff the 2013 Coats for Kids Campaign by allowing fans to drop off donations of new or gently-worn winter coats to the Coats for Kids table located outside the main gate prior to the start of the game. Cash donations, or checks (made payable to Coats for Kids - Cleveland) are also welcome. Funds raised during the annual campaign are used to purchase new coats for those in need.

The Captains Friday Night Concert Series continues as Pieces of Eight featuring the Lakeside Brass will entertain the crowd with a concert following the fireworks show. Pieces of Eight has been entertaining Northeast Ohio since 1979 and is made up of eight musicians complete with its own horn section. The band performs a mix of classic Rock & Roll and popular R&B featuring music from Bruce Springsteen, the J. Geils band, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes and much more. They will perform on stage adjacent to Castaways Bar which will remain open throughout the show. The Captains will feature iconic local bands following every Friday night home game for the remainder of the season.

Saturday there will be a doubleheader with the first game beginning at 6 PM. The two seven-inning games will be followed by a Saturday Night Fireworks Extravaganza, presented by Monreal Funeral Home & Cremation Services and Fox Sports, Sports Time Ohio.

Sunday is Father's Day and the Captains are offering a special ticket package that will allows Dad's and their kids to play catch on the field prior to the game. Information is available at CaptainsBaseball.com.

Sunday is also a Family Fun Sunday, presented by the Lake County YMCA, featuring a pre-game player autograph session, concourse entertainment and activities, the Kids' Zone area and the opportunity for kids to run the bases after the game. All kids in attendance will receive a Captains activities book and crayons, presented by the YMCA and Lake County Job and Family Services.

Saturday, June 15 will be a doubleheader contest against Great Lakes beginning at 6:00 and the games will feature Superhero Night! The first 1,500 fans will receive a free comic book courtesy of Comics and Friends. The team will be wearing a special Superhero-themed jersey for the second game of the doubleheader. The jersey's will be auctioned off and given to the winners at the conclusion of the second game. There will also be a special kryptonite drink special that night and several superhero characters will be on hand to meet fans and take photos.

Celebrate Father's Day at Classic Park with the Captains! The Sunday, June 16 game against Great Lakes features a Captains Cap Giveaway for the first 1,500 adult men in attendance presented by Lake Health. The afternoon is also home to a Lake County YMCA Family Fun Sunday featuring inflatable games and concourse entertainment for the kids. First pitch is scheduled for 1:30 PM with gates opening at noon.

Captains Charities is hosting a Pitch, Hit & Run competition on Sunday, June 30. Registration is open to kids ages 8 - 14 and includes a Pitch, Hit & Run t-shirt, lunch and a ticket to the June 30 Captains game against the Fort Wayne TinCaps. Participants are separated into appropriate age groups with awards given out in each age group and category. The event begins at 9 AM with registration starting at 8:30 AM.

The Captains are excited to host Pro Football Hall of Famer Leroy Kelly on Sunday, June 30 at Classic Park. Special, limited VIP Fan Packages are available for the appearance featuring an all-you-can-eat buffet, 8" by 10" Kelly photo, in-game reception with Kelly on Classic Park's PNC Party Suite Level and the opportunity to take a professional photo with Kelly!

The Captains and ERC have teamed with the Lake County Chambers of Commerce, Lake/Geauga SHRM, The News-Herald and ESPN Cleveland to put together this Business Day at the ballpark. The event will include numerous vendors who provide various products and services to businesses and an all-you-can-eat buffet for those in attendance.
