Terry Steinbach is a New Ulm native who starred at the University of Minnesota before reaching the big leagues. He was drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the ninth round of the 1983 MLB June Amateur Draft. Steinbach made his debut with the Athletics on September 12, 1986.
