Colorado Springs Sky Sox News Release
The Colorado Springs Sky Sox defeated the Iowa Cubs, 5-0, at Sec Taylor Stadium in Des Moines. Sky Sox starting pitcher Denny Stark did not allow a run in 6.0 innings giving up only 5 hits and 1 walk while striking out 1. Shortstop Clint Barmes led the offense going 4-for-5 scoring 2 runs while picking up an RBI on a solo home run. The Sky Sox will be looking for the sweep on Monday night in the finale of the team's 4 game series begining at 6:05. The Sox will send RHP Travis Driskill to the mound opposed by Cubs RHP Ryan Dempster.
