Colorado Springs Sky Sox News Release

The Colorado Springs Sky Sox dropped their 5th straight game as they lose to the Memphis Redbirds 2-1 on Wednesday evening. Sox starter Chris Michalak pitched well striking out 3 over 6 innings of work. Michalak made one mistake all night and that was to Redbird second baseman Marty Malloy who hit a 2 run home run in the 5th inning, which was the difference. The Sox managed only 6 hits on the evening with 2 by Garrett Atkins. These two teams conclude the series Thursday night when Jason Young (5-4, 3.64) takes the hill for the Sox against Steve Stemle (5-10, 3.62) of Memphis.
