EVERETT, Wash. - The AquaSox weren't able to generate much offense against the Indians in Sunday afternoon's game, losing 11-2. Despite the loss in the fifth and final game of the series, the Sox came away with a 4-1 series victory over the Tribe.

The Indians got to Sox starter Jose Valdivia (0-2, 6.75 ERA) early in a big way, putting five runs on the board in the first inning. Cam Schiller ripped a two-run home run to center field as part of the offensive explosion for Spokane.

The damage continued in the top half of the third, as the Indians were able to score five more runs to take a commanding 10-0 lead. Valdivia's day ended midway through the inning, allowing nine runs (five earned) off eight hits and three walks while striking out three in 2 2/3 innings of work.

The Frogs had trouble getting to Spokane starter Abel De Los Santos (1-1, 1.74 ERA), who gave up just one hit in five innings and struck out four while walking three. Santos held the Frogs hitless until the bottom of the fourth inning when catcher Marcus Littlewood hit a line-drive single to right field.

Littlewood had the best day offensively for Sox going 3-3 with a solo home run in the seventh inning off Spokane reliever Richard Alvarez; the performance raised his batting average from .120 to .214.

Defensively, the Frogs turned four double plays, but committed three errors on the day.

The Vancouver Canadians come to town Monday to face the AquaSox in a three-game series. Victor Sanchez will take the mound for the Frogs and look to rebound from his last start in which he gave up five earned runs off nine hits in six innings.
