
South Bay Drops Final Game of Road Trip in Westchester

WHITE PLAINS, NY - The South Bay Lakers dropped the final game of their three-game road trip, as they fell to the Westchester Knicks, 103-89, on Wednesday night. Johnathan Williams scored a career-high 25 points for South Bay (6-8) to go along with 10 rebounds. Trevon Bluiett led the Knicks (12-3) with 29 points off the bench.
The Knicks took a slight lead after the first quarter, 21-20, despite eight points in the period by Williams. Westchester maintained a small lead after two, 43-39, as Bluiett scored a team-high nine points in the first half.
Westchester extended their lead through three, 74-64, behind 12 points in the frame from Bluiett. The Knicks were able to finish off the victory in the fourth quarter as Bluiett and Isaiah Hicks combined for 16 points in the final frame.
Bluiett's game-high 29 points guided the Knicks to the win as Kadeem Allen pitched in 19 points of his own. Hicks finished with 13 points and seven rebounds while Kenrich Williams also scored in double figures with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Williams tallied his seventh double-double of the season and his third straight game with 20+ points. Travis Wear scored 14 points and Isaac Bonga finished with 11 points and eight rebounds. Andre Ingram tallied double figures off the bench with 11 points while Scott Machado finished with nine points and 10 assists.
South Bay will return home for a back-to-back, starting with a visit from the Santa Cruz Warriors on Friday, December 8 at 7:00pm PT from the UCLA Health Training Center.
