Iowa Wolves News Release
Toronto, Ontario - The Iowa Wolves (4-8) shot a season-low 36.7% from the field in a 106-88 loss Wednesday morning to the Raptors 905 (10-3).
The 18-point loss was Iowa's largest margin of defeat since opening night.
Keita Bates-Diop paced Iowa offensively for the second straight game, recording 17 points and 12 rebounds for his third NBA G League double-double of the season.
After trailing by as many as 20 points in the first half, Iowa cut their deficit to six points in the third quarter before giving way, thanks in part to a 10-point third quarter outburst from Darius Johnson-Odom. Johnson-Odom finished with 16 points,11 rebounds and five assists in his first double-double of the season.
Both teams shot below their season average from the field and three-point line. Defensively, Iowa held Raptors 905 to 38.4% (38-of-99) from the field and 19.0% (7-of-37) from deep.
Iowa's season-high 25 turnovers kept the team out of striking distance for much of the game.
NBA G League Player of the Month Chris Boucher led all players in scoring, posting 25 points while hauling in 14 rebounds and blocking a season-high seven shots. Rodney Pryor added 19 points off the bench for Raptors 905.
Iowa finishes their two-game road trip with a matchup against the Memphis Hustle on Thursday, Dec. 7 at 7:00 p.m. CT.
