JUPITER, Fla. - Even though they collected just one hit in the frame, Jupiter scored twice in the bottom of the sixth to erase a deficit, as the Hammerheads downed the Daytona Tortugas, 4-3, on Thursday evening at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium.

Daytona (19-23, 54-53) held a 3-2 advantage going into the bottom of the sixth when SS Demetrius Sims (2-3) reached on a hit-by-pitch to begin the inning. Following a fielder's choice, 3B James Nelson (1-4, R, SO) got aboard via a missed catch error, placing runners at first and third with one down.

RF Jhonny Santos (1-3, R, RBI, SO) then proceeded to lay a safety squeeze down. Despite looking back the runner at third, 2B Justin Twine (1-4, R, 2 SO) scored on the out at first, tying the game at three. A throwing error at the tail end of that play enabled Nelson to take third and then score the go-ahead run on an infield single to first by CF Connor Scott (3-4, R, RBI). When all was said and done, Jupiter (21-22, 42-64) scored two runs on just one hit and two errors to take a 4-3 lead.

The Tortugas were unable to pull any closer throughout the rest of the night. LHP Sean Guenther (1.1 IP, H, 2 SO) entered for Jupiter in the eighth and recorded the final four outs to garner his first save in the Florida State League.

In the top of the third, Daytona grabbed the initial lead. A single by LF Drew Mount (1-4, R) and a double from RF Lorenzo Cedrola (2-4, 2B) put men at second and third and nobody out. Later in the frame, SS José García's (2-4, R, RBI, SO) infield single chased home a tally to put the 'Tugas ahead, 1-0.

Jupiter was able to seize the lead in the bottom of the fifth, tying it on a ground out from DH JJ Bleday (0-4, RBI) and snagging a 2-1 advantage on a bloop RBI single courtesy of LF Jerar Encarnación (2-4, 2B, RBI).

In the top of the sixth, Daytona stole a quick one-run lead back, 3-2, via a run-producing knock to right by DH Pabel Manzanero (1-4, RBI, SO) and an RBI groundout by C Hendrik Clementina (1-4, RBI, SO).

LHP Will Stewart (5.2 IP, 8 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 4 SO) - who entered after Major League rehabber RHP Drew Steckenrider (1.0 IP, H) tossed the first - collected his fifth victory in relief for the Hammerheads. Tortugas RHP Aaron Fossas (6.0 IP, 12 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 2 SO) earned a quality start but suffered his first defeat in the FSL this year.

Daytona will look to return to the win column on Friday, as they return home to open up a six-game homestand starting with a three-contest set against the St. Lucie Mets, the High-A affiliate of the New York Mets. RHP Mac Sceroler (4-2, 4.07 ERA) is slated to get the ball for the 'Tugas in the lid-lifter. LHP Thomas Szapucki (1-1, 2.60 ERA) - the Mets' No. 11 prospect per Baseball America - is expected to make the start for St. Lucie.

The Tortugas Pre-Game Show will kick off the broadcast at 6:50 p.m. ET, leading up to the 7:05 p.m. ET start at Jackie Robinson Ballpark. Friday evening's contest can be heard on www.daytonatortugas.com or via the TuneIn Radio and MiLB First Pitch apps.

Daytona continues its Best Dressed Friday series, as players and coaches will don special uniforms in honor of the 25th anniversary of the comedy classic, "Dumb and Dumber". Those jerseys will be auctioned off online throughout the weekend. It will be another Friday Night Happy Hour presented by Kona Brewing with buy-one, get-one Kona beer products and Bud Light from 5:30 p.m. until first pitch. Finally, after the game, fans will be treated to another splendid Postgame Fireworks display.

Multi-game plans and single-game tickets are still currently available and can be purchased online at www.daytonatortugas.com, or by calling the Tortugas' Ticket Office at (386) 257-3172.
