Nashville Sounds News Release
NASHVILLE â Friday's PCL contest between the Nashville Sounds and Oklahoma RedHawks was suspended in the middle of the third inning due to inclement weather with the visitors holding a 1-0 advantage.
The game will be resumed on Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. and completed in its nine-inning entirety. Saturday's regularly-scheduled contest between the Sounds and RedHawks will be a seven-inning affair that will commence approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game. Gates will open at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
Oklahoma centerfielder Ryan Christenson accounted for the lone run in the contest when he belted a Matt Guerrier offering over the left-field wall for a solo homer in the top of the first inning. It was his fifth longball of the season.
Tickets from Friday night's suspended game can be redeemed at the Sounds box office for tickets of equal or lesser value to any remaining regular season home game.
Fans holding tickets for Saturday night's game will be admitted for the 4 p.m. completion of the suspended game as well as for the seven-inning nightcap.
Nashville left-hander Dave Williams (5-4, 4.68) is scheduled to make a start in tomorrow's second game and face Oklahoma left-hander Ryan Snare (3-4, 2.86).
