Sounders FC Rebounds from Deficit again, Wins 2-1

SEATTLE, Wash. - Kenny Cooper and Lamar Neagle scored second-half goals as Seattle Sounders FC (7-2-1, 22 points) earned its fourth-straight come-from-behind victory of the season with a 2-1 win over FC Dallas (5-3-1, 16 points) on Wednesday night on the Xbox Pitch at CenturyLink Field.

Obafemi Martins continued his league-leading form with two assists as Sounders FC remained first in the race for the Supporters' Shield, matching its club record with five-straight wins.

Cooper, who entered the game just minutes earlier, scored the winner in the 88th minute when Martins sent a cross into the box. Cooper placed the ball under a diving Raul Fernandez to mark Seattle's fifth-straight game with a goal in the final 15 minutes.

Sounders FC leveled the match at 1-1 in the 62nd minute with a goal from Neagle. Clint Dempsey played a ball wide to Martins, who then crossed it to Neagle for a one-touch finish to the near post. It was Neagle's fourth goal of the season.

FC Dallas opened the scoring in the 14th minute on a converted penalty by Michel after Evans was whistled for a foul in the box.

Sounders FC held the advantage in total shots, 19-8, including 9-2 on goal. Marco Pappa led all players with five shots with Osvaldo Alonso taking four shots.

Sounders FC visits New England Revolution on May 11 at Gillette Stadium at 3:00 p.m. in Foxborough, Mass.
