
Sounders FC Hosts USA vs. Netherlands FIFA World Cup Watch Party

SEATTLE, WASH. - Seattle Sounders FC is hosting a viewing party this Saturday, December 3at 7:00 a.m. PT at The Armory at Seattle Center as the U.S. Men's National Team takes on European powerhouse Netherlands in the Round of 16 at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™. The USMNT advances to the Round of 16 following an unbeaten run (1-0-2) in the Group Stage, finishing second in Group B behind England. The winner of Saturday morning's USA-Netherlands match is set to face the winner of Argentina-Australia in the Quarterfinals on Friday, December 9.
Saturday's free event at The Armory at Seattle Center gives fans of all ages the opportunity to join Sounders FC and cheer on The Stars and Stripes as they battle in FIFA World Cup for the first time since 2014.
Watch parties are being hosted for all the USMNT matches at the FIFA World Cup 2022™. Admission is free and provided on a first-come, first-served basis with entry beginning at 6:30 a.m. PT and continuing until The Armory reaches capacity.Fans and Sounders FC Ticket Members are encouraged to arrive early at The Armory to take advantage of special giveaways.
Those coming to the parties can look forward to watching the games on a giant screen in an electric group atmosphere. Sounders FC is also providing pre-match entertainment, trivia contest, photo activations, interactive games, and a variety of ways to win exciting prizes, including an authentic framed USMNT jersey, limited-edition Sounders FC adidas Ultraboost x COPA shoes and more.

The Puyallup Tribe's Emerald Queen Casino is giving away a one-night stay at its new EQC Tacoma Hotel, along with a $100 food credit to Slahal, the hotel's exclusive rooftop restaurant.
Adidas is giving away USMNT posters featuring adidas athletes.
For each watch party, all Armory food and drink locations will be open early, with an additional beer garden space offered for attendees 21 years of age and older. Additionally, the first 1,500 guests to enter each watch party can receive a Sounders-themed World Cup rally towel, while the first 300 Sounders FC Season Ticket Members in attendance at each watch party are receiving an exclusive Sounders-themed World Cup long-sleeve t-shirt.
Sounders FC forward Jordan Morris and midfielder Cristian Roldan were both included on final 26-player of the U.S. Men's National Team roster, marking the first FIFA World Cup call-up for either player. Following Clint Dempsey and DeAndre Yedlin being named to the squad in 2014, Sounders FC is the only club team to have multiple players selected to the USMNT in each of its last two World Cup appearances. With Xavier Arreaga (Ecuador) and Nouhou (Cameroon) also competing in Qatar, this marks the most active Sounders FC players that have ever been selected to a single FIFA World Cup, with Seattle's four ranking third among all MLS teams this year. FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM began on November 20 and runs through December 18.
At the conclusion of match on December 3, fans are encouraged to explore Seattle Center Winterfest entertainment with Black Stax performing on the Armory Stage, presented by Symetra. Feel free to stick around the Seattle Center Armory and watch the 11:00 a.m. PT World Cup match at Premier Meat Pies, Skillet, Wing Dome or Blue Water Taco, while enjoying food options from any of the Armory Restaurants. The Seattle Center Winterfest presented by Symetra continues until December 31, and includes performances, a Winter Train & Village, annual campus lighting display and a New Year's Eve Celebration.
