Sounders FC 2 Signs Modou Ndow and Ben Numbi

SEATTLE, WASH. - Seattle Sounders FC 2 today announced that it has signed Gambian defender Modou Ndow and Congolese midfielder Ben Numbi on loan from MFK Vyskov in the Czech Republic. The signings are pending United Soccer League and U.S. Soccer Federation approval. S2's roster now sits at 15 players heading into the 2019 season.

"We're looking forward to welcoming Modou and Ben to Seattle," said Sounders FC Director of Player Development Marc Nicholls. "They are both products of our strong African scouting pipeline, and we're excited about what they can bring to our club."

A towering 6'4" defender, Ndow joins midfielder Numbi in the Emerald City. Both 18-year-old players are joining Seattle from Vyskov in the Czech Republic's third tier.

S2 begins its 2019 campaign with a home match on March 9 at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma, beginning the club's second season playing its home games in the South Sound. S2 is set to host Rio Grande Valley FC in the home opener, with the kickoff time to be announced at a later date.
