SEATTLE, WASH. - Sounders FC 2 today announced that it has agreed to a jersey partnership with CHI Franciscan Health, with the health care organization's name and logo appearing on the back of S2 jerseys, plus signage elements at Starfire Stadium. This multi-year deal, which further solidifies CHI Franciscan's commitment to Pacific Northwest soccer fans and healthy lifestyles through their Northwest Healthy initiative and marketing partnership with Seattle Sounders FC, debuts at Sunday evening's match versus Swope Park Rangers at Starfire Stadium (5:00 p.m. PT / Live-streamed on SoundersFC.com)
"This new staple on S2 jerseys is an important move for our club, as we continue to promote a healthy lifestyle to our fans," said Sounders FC Chief Operating Officer Bart Wiley. "CHI Franciscan serves a vital role in our community and we are delighted to expand our relationship moving forward."
"We're thrilled to build on our partnership in health with CHI Franciscan," Seattle Sounders FC Vice President of Business Development Brian Jones said. "This additional collaboration is another positive step in our mutual interest to develop active, health-conscious soccer fans throughout the greater Seattle area and beyond."
CHI Franciscan Health, a major health care system in the Pacific Northwest, operates eight major hospitals in the state of Washington. Its medical groups, Franciscan Medical Group and Harrison HealthPartners, operate hundreds of clinics in the South Sound and the West Sound areas. This partnership deepens CHI Franciscan Health's relationship with the local soccer scene, supporting efforts to keep fans, their families and their communities healthy.
"CHI Franciscan Health is excited to partner with Seattle Sounders FC 2 and together engage thousands of fans about the importance of living an active and healthy lifestyle," said CHI Franciscan Health CEO Ketul J. Patel. "The S2 team provides role models of living active and furthers our reach into our communities to promote optimal health and wellness."
S2 debuts its new jerseys this Sunday when the Rave Green take on Swope Park Rangers at Starfire Stadium (5:00 p.m. PT / Live-streamed on SoundersFC.com).
