Sound Tigers Release Three Players from PTO's

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Mar. 10, 2011) - The Bridgeport Sound Tigers announced today that they have released forward Eric Castonguay and defensemen Chris Frank and Wes O'Neill from their professional tryout contracts (PTOs).

Castonguay returns to the Reading Royals of the ECHL after appearing in 12 games in during this second stint with the Sound Tigers, recording four goals and three assists. Frank signed a PTO with the Sound Tigers on Feb. 25, dressed in six games and amassed 19 penalty minutes. He returns to the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL where he shows five assists and 87 penalty minutes in 21 games. The Sound Tigers release O'Neill from his PTO after spending 33 games with the team and recording four goals and three assists. The Essex, Ont. native returns to ECHL affiliate Kalamazoo where he shows two goals and one assist in 13 games this year.
