Griffins Promotion Schedule Packed With Four Games In Five Days

Wednesday, March 16, 2011 vs. Oklahoma City Barons

Time: 7 p.m. at Van Andel Arena (doors open at 6 p.m.).

Hockey Night: Wednesday is Hockey Night! Through a partnership between the Griffins, the Downtown Development Authority, the Arena District and several sponsors, fans attending any Wednesday game this season can show their tickets to receive drink specials and 20% off food at participating Arena District restaurants and bars, both before and after the game. Winning Wednesday: All fans who were in attendance for the Griffins' 5-3 win over Hamilton on Feb. 16 can redeem their ticket stubs for free tickets to this game. Furthermore, if the Griffins beat the Barons, each fan in attendance can redeem their ticket stub for a free ticket to the Griffins' game on Wednesday, March 23 against Toronto. If the Griffins win, the box office will be open following the game for redemptions. Fans may also redeem their stubs at The Zone during business hours (M-F 10-6; Sat. 10-2) and at the box office the night of March 23.

Ellery Presentation: Vice President of Community Relations and Broadcasting - a.k.a. The Voice of the Griffins - Bob Kaser will be honored prior to the game for his 2009-10 AHL Ellery Award for outstanding league coverage in radio.

Friday, March 18, 2011 vs. Lake Erie Monsters

Time: 7 p.m. at Van Andel Arena (doors open at 6 p.m.).

Dollar Beers, Dollar Dogs: The ever-popular promotion runs from 6-8 p.m., when fans can enjoy $1 domestic drafts and $1 hot dogs while supplies last.

College Night: Presented by Chemical Bank, college students can show their ID to purchase a lower bowl ticket for $12 (or $10 in advance at The Zone) and stop by the McFadden's concourse table to receive a no line/no cover pass to the post-game party featuring 25% off food items and drink specials until midnight.

Saturday, March 19, 2011 vs. Rochester Americans

Time: 7 p.m. at Van Andel Arena (doors open at 6 p.m.).

Mascot Mania: Presented by Centennial Securities, various local mascots will be roaming the concourse and interacting with fans throughout the game.

Team Poster Giveaway: A Griffins team poster will be handed out to 5,000 fans, courtesy of Centennial Securities.

Jersey Auction: The Griffins will wear special jerseys modeled after the Red Wings' home red uniforms, with a white Griffins crest on the front. Each jersey will be signed by the respective player and auctioned off following the game in the Fifth Third Vault. Proceeds from the auction will benefit PennyBen and American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge.

Sunday is Fun Day!: Fans can enjoy $1 Cole's breadsticks and $1 Pepsi products from 3-5 p.m.

Fan Appreciation Day: The Griffins will host their annual fan appreciation day presented by Michigan Office Solutions. The first 4,000 kids in attendance will receive a Griffins crest CrazyBand, while the first 5,000 fans will receive a Griffins' no. 1 fan sign, courtesy of Fox Honda.

Season Ticket Holder Party: As appreciation for season ticket holders, the Griffins will host their annual season ticket holder party with both pre- and post-game activities.

Quick Change: The act featured on America's Got Talent known as Quick Change will perform during the first intermission.

Jaded 8: Fans will be treated to live music from Jaded 8 prior to the game on the concourse and during each intermission.
